Yael Leshno

Yael is a PhD student in geology, under the supervision of Dr. Rivka Rabinovich (Institute of Earth Sciences, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem) and the Dr. Yael Edelman-Furstenberg (Geological Survey of Israel).

Her research focuses on Paleoenvironmental reconstruction of the Middle Jurassic using benthic macrofaunal assemblages from outcrops in northern and southern Israel.

She received my B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. In her M.Sc. thesis she utilized live and dead molluscan assemblages to track anthropogenic modification of the Israeli shallow shelf.
